I'm capable of creating a cover design myself (and prefer to do so) with my own text, fonts, colors, layout, etc. totally done by me, and then I'd like to submit the design as a tiff (or any other type of) file (front and back). Is that fine, or do I HAVE to use a template and work from those? Follow up: assuming it's fine to create my own design myself, would the cover be submitted in the form of two files--one front and one back cover? Perhaps this would mean the only thing the printer would have to do without me is the spine text.
