Given our large volume, we only need to give a 50% discount - and they pay shipping.

Actually, the book is a Trade Paperback of nearly 400 pages. That price is quite reasonable. We price our books according to the market for *that* book. One of our books retails for $165.00 and is selling quite briskly! :)

Again, we pay our wholesalers 50% and *they* pay shipping. The online bookstores (like Amazon) order from them, so our authors don't even have to pay shipping to Amazon - and are thus making a fairly hefty profit, even with trade discounts.

Hope this has been helpful - and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
